Wine Summary
Geoff Hardy’s great-great-grandfather, the original Thomas Hardy, first planted grapes in SA in the 1850s and was one of the founding fathers of the Australian wine industry. In 1980, Geoff left the then family company, Thomas Hardy & Sons, to make his own way. This Tempranillo comes from his K1 vineyard in the Kuitpo region. Often called the 'noble grape' of Spain and a key player in Rioja wines, Tempranillo earned its name from its early ripening nature, and this is the first red from the estate to be bottled each year. Raspberry flavours and a hint of licorice.
