Dive into “magician” (Halliday) John Quarisa’s citrus-crisp 30 Mile Riesling and the luscious Steeple Block Semillon, packed full of lemony fruit. Then be wowed by three WA stars – the minerally and marvellous Miles From Nowhere Margaret River Riesling, Willow Bridge’s gorgeous Dragonfly Sauvignon Semillon, shimmering with bright citrus fruit, and the flavour-packed Juniper Crossing Wilyabrup Original White 2022. All for $12.99 a bottle!
Vibrant and refreshing in style, the Sauvignon Blac is aromatic and crisp whilst the Semillon adds an extra dimension to the wine and depth to the palate Winemaking technique adds texture and complexity to the depth of flavour. Pure and intense varietal character, lifted lychee, passionfruit and freshly squeezed lime. This juicy, vibrant gem comes from Jeff and Vicki Dewar’s spectacular hillside vineyards in WA’s beautiful Ferguson Valley, a sub-region of the rugged Geographe region. "Jeff and Vicky Dewar have followed a fast track in developing Willow Bridge in the Ferguson Valley” says James Halliday.
Get ready for a blissful experience with this delightful Chardonnay, filled with bright tropical fruit and citrus fruit on a light, lovely palate. Perfect for sipping with good friends and a platter of delicious nibbles on lazy weekend afternoons.
The Semillon comes from Juniper's two Wilyabrup vineyards while the Sauvignon Blanc is grown in their Karridale vineyard to the south. Winner of a Gold medal and scoring 95pts at Royal Melbourne, the Crossing Original White displays aromas of citrus blossom, sliced apple, gooseberry,, lemon curd and blackcurrant notes. Light to medium-bodied with a gorgeously rounded, textural mouthfeel. A riper expression of Semillon (60%) and Sauvignon Blanc (40%) showing white peach, lime and grapefruit flavours with subtle hints of passionfruit, fennel and refreshing salinity. Beautifully balanced. Lingering, dry, zesty, citrus finish. Try this with grilled seafood or a vegetable linguine. Jane Faulkner, Halliday Wine Companion appauds its "succulence and juiciness". WA wine expert Ray Jordan calls it " a really punchy blend… loaded with tropical fruit and a little passion fruit" (Wine Pilot).
From vineyards within earshot of the bells that call out from the 'City of Churches', Adelaide. You could almost say this is a real parish pleaser. This classy white is made for lazy warm weather drinking on a sunny Sunday afternoon. The lovely grassy, citrussy Semillon characters bounce off the crisp, mouthwatering palate. The Steeple Block Semillon is simply sublime with fresh seafood. Try it for yourself and see.
A bright and lively way to start any evening. The Miles From Nowhere Riesling expresses a zest for life. Every glass takes you to the south west of Australia, where the locals relax with glass in hand watching the sun set over the ocean. The Riesling is sourced from a single vineyard located in the Wallcliffe area of the Margaret River. The vines are over 30 years old and are managed with minimal intervention Aromas of lime leaf and lemon verbena. The crisp acidity lends an austere focus to the attack. Fresh fruit, honeyed notes and lees texture add a moreish complexity.
