Lake Alex Langhorne Creek Shiraz 2016
Lavishly rich Langhorne Creek Shiraz ... grab this!
Producers in the Langhorne Creek region will happily confirm that the region’s best wines boast the highest number of Trophies and Medals of any single viticultural district in Australia, and Langhorne Creek fruit has been the secret ingredient in several
Jimmy Watson Trophy winners. With this in mind, we sought out fruit from key vineyard
sites, close to Lake Alexandrina and owned by one of
the region’s most acclaimed producers – no names,
but absolute assurance of quality in the glass.
Natural regional diversity provides rich, ripe blackberries, plums and liquorice,
cooling breezes that blow gently across the water maintain elegance and
freshness, and time in oak has added layers of liquorice chocolate and cedar.
An opulent Shiraz to match dry-aged beef and portabelllo mushrooms perfectly.
