Wine Summary
A luscious red from the talented Elena Brooks, a big, velvety Barossa Merlot, hand-crafted with skill and passion from beginning to end. It’s a single vineyard wine from Carl Lindner’s 35 year old Lohner Vineyard in the Lyndoch sub-region. Hand-picked, whole bunch fermented, hand-plunged, basket-pressed and then allowed to slumber in older French and American oak barriques for 10 months before being bottled … no fining, no filtration …just the essence of the vineyard. It has a Platinum, two Gold and 91pts from Halliday: <i> “Damson plum, five-spice, choco-cherry and some mint slip their way across gently astringent tannins. A solid merlot… 91pts" (Halliday).
