Wine Summary
Winemaker Andrew Margan is a master viticulturist and winemaker. He works with 40-year-old Semillon vines and produces some of the Hunter Valley's very best wines. His vibrant offerings show greater ripeness than many other Semillons from the region and offer a wonderful ‘drink-now’ approachability. "A glowing green/pale gold colour. Lemon butter, freshly cut hay and beeswax in the bouquet - characteristic and inviting. Quite full and forward on the palate, reflecting the season. Ripe Meyer lemon and green apple flavours with almost a richness of mouthfeel, but well balanced by the tightening rein of brisk acidity. Pretty much ready to go now, but should be better in a few months and will cellar well of course...92pts" (Halliday).
