Wine Summary

Cabernet Franc is rare in Barossa and McLaren Vale, but RedHead’s winemaker Dan Graham discovered a few rows tended by Jock Harvey in Willunga, where cooler temperatures offer intense, bright fruit and firm tannin to support these dense, ripe flavours. Halliday gave the 2013 95 Points “cassis, plum and chocolate holding each other in an embrace...”

Show Judges said of this 2014:

“Silky and well balanced ... ripe, dark fruits and rounded tannins, epitomising how Cabernet champions RedHeads Studio struck Gold ... dark notes of leather, chocolate and liquorice, a lovely viscous texture ... a very pretty wine of great purity and structure”. Enjoy over the next decade.

Oh, and talk about iconic – the Esulé label has been exhibited in San Francisco’s MOMA (and can be found tucked away in the cellars of a lucky few wine collectors).
