Wine Summary
Allegiance Wines was founded by Tim Cox, whose love of wine and allegiance to the grape has seen him create a range of outstanding (and critically acclaimed) wines from premium regions around the country. NSW's Tumbarumba region is perfect for growing crunchy, cool, crisp Chardonnay – as Allegiance's Gold-medal ' The Matron' (dedicated to Australia's resilient and hard-working bush nurses) shows. It's won Gold, and also been awarded an array of 90+ points and Star ratings from critics in Australia and New Zealand. It's deliciously fresh, with mouthwatering flavours of tangy green apple, white peach and fragrant nectarines. French oak and natural acidity are perfectly balanced, and there's a lovely textural note as well. It's a treat - especially a good old fashioned roast chicken.
