Value Star" (James Halliday, Halliday Wine Companion), and invites you in with aromas of plums and mulberries, as well as hints of milk chocolate and vanilla. From Lake Breeze, Halliday Wine Companion's 'Best Value Winery of the Year 2022', the Bullant Shiraz is their entry-level offering but it delivers "extraordinary value" (Tony Love, Halliday Wine Companion). You have to feel for the vineyard workers who danced amongst the vines avoiding the menacing bull ants who resided there. And this Shiraz has just as much bite. It can partner a cheese plate equally as well as a rare fillet steak. "Deep ruby core, some purpling tints at the rim. Blackberries and bresaola on the nose. Dark fruits open the palate but morphs quickly into an earth and meat savoury tone. Good flow with supple tannins carrying it quite long into a slightly saline finish. Great value here... 90pts" (Stuart Knox, The Real Review). Drinking well now but will age gracefully for the remainder of the decade.

Salena Estate is named after the daughter of Bob and Sylvia Franchitto, the owners of what has become one of Australia’s largest family wine producers. Their continued investment in state-of-the-art equipment, as well as a vast array of quality French and American oak hogsheads and barriques, has allowed them to turn the product of excellent vineyards into what are evidently exceptional wines. Lifted blueberry and cassis flavours are interwoven with rich mocha, fragrant star anise and earthy undertones. Soft smoky meaty notes add further complexity to the wine and balance the tannins. From Aramis' stunning 64 acre vineyard in the southern foothills of McLaren Vale. The unique location, just 2km away from the coast of the Gulf St Vincent, allows the vines to benefit from a maritime climate with cooling afternoon sea breezes coming in from the south west.

The loose sandy soil and cooling maritime breezes are perfect for growing savoury, aromatic Shiraz with great fruit intensity. Made using traditional techniques, with the aim of expressing our unique microclimate, this is a fresh, lightly oaked Shiraz with a vibrant, generous mid-palate that finishes uninterrupted and long. A great 'food wine' in its youth and with careful cellaring it will mature well over the next 3-5 years.

Grown on some of the top blocks on the Tyrrell’s estate and surrounding area, which have an average vine age of 40 years and are mostly dry grown. A modern, medium-bodied Australian Shiraz. The nose shows bright red fruits and savoury spice, which follows onto the palate. Primary, bright fruits balanced by savoury nuances, a hint of leather – along with soft, savoury tannins and a crunchy acidity that add to the wines complexity.
