Wine Summary
At one stage of its history Coonawarra was better known for its Shiraz than its Cabernet. As this 95pt 2019 illustrates the quality of the Shiraz produced here canstill be very high indeed. An abundance of purple and black fruits, with concentrated notes of dark cherry, bay leaf and dark chocolate. Vibrant fruit supported by elegant tannins and subtle toasted oak create a seamless, layered wine with depth, generosity and graceful aging potential. It manages to be totally fruit forward "… satisfying and fresh… velvety and full... 95pts" (Erin Larkin, Halliday Wine Companion).
