The Wine
Phil sourced the grapes from a few estate vineyards, located on the northern side of the Wairau Valley. The results in the glass are classic New Zealand –Sauvignon, with lifted aromas of ripe gooseberries, freshly cut grass and tropical fruits. The palate is fresh and generous, with explosively crisp flavours of lime and guava. Also look for hints of flinty stone on the finish (a hallmark of premium Marlborough Sauvignon).
