The Wine
Today at Printhie, in cool-climate Orange, the second generation of the Swift family Edward and David have taken over the reins from father Ed, while winemaker Drew Tuckwell has been maintaining exceptional quality for over 10 years. This fresh, complex Shiraz is a fine example.
“Polished, with a sinew of astringency balancing the cavalcade of plum, blue fruit and anise notes. Very ripe, yet not OTT, the extraction is handled with aplomb and the 28 days spent on skins the wine’s saving grace. An attractive tail of white pepper acidity, clove and cardamon sweep up the tail... 93pts” (Halliday).
