The Wine
Six generations of the Gibbs family have lived in the Ferguson Valley, having ventured from the English town of Aylesbury back in 1800s. The most recent generations have successfully turned their hand to winemaking, with the intention of “capturing the best of the Ferguson Valley in a bottle.” Tight grain French oak gives spice and depth to what is a smooth brambly and juicy red fruit beauty. Well-balanced in every way. "A conflation of mint, red and blackcurrant and gently astringent tannins, following 10 months in French oak (20% new)... 90pts" (Halliday).
