This "slupilicious" (Halliday) Barossa GSM comes from the extremely talented Elena Brooks and 5 Red Star Dandelion Vineyards, a venture that combines heirloom vineyards with the finest traditions of artisan winemaking. Old-vine fruit is basket pressed into old French oak barriques and matured for a further 12 months in the same oak. Bottled without fining or filtration to capture the purest expression of this glorious 'Menagerie'. Sam Kim's Wine Orbit calls it “succulent and generous with excellent fruit intensity backed by supple texture and silky tannins, finishing soothing and delectable”. "Just deliciously fun…" (Dave Brookes, Halliday Wine Companion), while Aaron Brasher in The Real Review writes:" The palate has real drinkability and appeal. Fleshy, juicy, with the right amount of tannin and acid keeping the plush fruit in check. Smart value."
