Wine Summary
Marco Bacci and son Jacopo make some of the best wines in Tuscany at their four flagship estates. Every vintage their wines score very highly, many 95 points plus, in top wine publications around the world. Indeed, their Brunello Riserva 2010 was placed third in the World’s Top 100 Wines and scored 100/100! They produce sublime Chianti Classico, Brunello and Morellino, but also rule-breaking Toscana IGTs using ‘forbidden’ Bordeaux varieties. Tenuta Lamiata combines luscious Merlot with Cabernet and Petit Verdot, all from the estate’s fine terra rossa soils. Fifteen months in oak barrels have helped round out the wine and lend gorgeous complexity. For drinking now – open two hours early and decant. It deserves your finest red meat dishes.
