The Wine
When Marselan was created in 1961, who'd have thought, 60 years later, it would create such a stir! It's a crossing between Grenache and Cabernet Sauvignon. You'll notice that on the taste – brimful of voluptuous, velvety, ripe fruit with a core of silky tannins. Winemaker Jean Baptiste Fabre took a shine and was delighted to find a parcel at Arnaud de Malefette's 200 year old Domaine du Bosc. This gloriously deep, fruit laden red is the result. A veritable cascade of fruity flavour – lush plum, cherry, cassis and blackberry - flattered by a year in French oak. You'll notice that in the vanilla, spice box and cedar notes. This is the epitome of an irresistible red. Great with meat dishes, at a barbecue or with vegetarian toad in the hole.
