Ginestières Merlot 2018

According to the Sunday Times, Languedoc Roussillon is "the most exciting region in France". It certainly provides much of France's best value wine, and this one is a beauty. It comes from to 'Merlot maestro' Claude Gros, who perfected his skills in Saint Emilion. Among his many successes was Château La Fleur Morange, a Merlot-rich Grand Cru that scored an awesome 96/100 from Robert Parker. At Domaine Ginestières, Claude makes this majestic Merlot at an amazingly approachable price. Enjoy its fine, dark cherry and wild herb character with lamb cutlets, pan-fried with plenty of rosemary and garlic.
