Kilikanoon Oracle Clare Valley Shiraz 2014

Crafted from old-vine fruit grown along the Golden Hillside in Leasingham, the Kilikanoon Oracle Shiraz 2014 continues to display the opulence, regional character and varietal power the Clare Valley is so renown for. A Platinum medal and 97pts at Decanter World Wine Awards, 93pts from the Halliday Wine Companion, and the Trophy for Best Shiraz at the International Wine & Spirit Competition in London all demonstrate this special vintage is truly the best. Aromas of rich dark plums, dark chocolate, vanilla and exotic spices leap from the glass. Yes, the opulence carries through on a velvety palate, showing off classic Clare berries, but there’s so much more to take in. Savoury notes of truffle, prosciutto, fennel and pepper lead to liquorice and star anise. The wine was aged for 18 months in new and slightly older French oak hogsheads – is beautifully integrated, giving a polished feeling that lingers on and on. Was made from older vines from a low yielding vineyard. Intense, concentrated and complex but still light on its feet.
