Since Greg’s sad passing, the winery team fulfilled this dream, erecting a “trebuchet” just next to the stateof-the-art cellar door. Savour a red that lives up to their impressive history and reputation.
"In bygone years I (and other journalists) actually used the catapult at Wirra Wirra to propel whole large watermelons over the (figurative) fence. It's a juicy object to throw 80m or so, and this wine needs no such treatment. It's pillowy, with a come-hither look to its colour, and is full of soft, plummy fruit. Trebuchet is similar... 92pts" (Halliday).
