The Wine
An impressive 96pt McLaren Vale Shiraz from the very talented Eleanor Brooks. Winemaking for The Heirloom Vineyards " is of the 'spare-no-expense' style, and the quality is outstanding".(Halliday). Scoring it 96pts Tyson Stelzer calls it “Dashing, slick and transfixing.” (Halliday Wine Companion). And it received 95pts from the Real Review. "Dark-fruited aromas, mulberry, blackberry, spice, brambles, graphite and a whiff of licorice, plenty of complexity here. Rich, dark and layered on the palate, plenty of plummy, fleshy fruit, firm, structured tannins and textured mouth-feel. A very balanced wine built for the long-haul" (Aaron Brasher, The Real Review).
