It’s owned by an Austrian winemaker (the 8th generation of a dynasty behind the very highly regarded Salomon Undhof) who, after falling in love with the region, moved his family to Adelaide in the 1980s. They now split their time between running this estate, and his estate in the premium Austrian region of Kremstal, close to Vienna. Ex-Penfolds' Mark Familo, a friend of the estate, consults and Simon White (ex. Coriole) looks after things in his absence.
