The Wine

This is 5-star-rated Schild Estate's flagship Shiraz from the exceptional 2021 vintage that boasts scores of 95, 96 & 97pts, Gold and fantastic reviews. "It's hard to imagine a better encapsulation of this wonderful season in the Barossa… Supremely balanced and poised…97pts" (Ray Jordan WinePilot).

For Sam Kim Wine Orbit it is: "…sumptuous and delectable… 96pts" while Dabe Brookes in The Halliday Wine Companion gives it 95pts: “Shiraz sourced from the Narrow Road vineyard in Rowland Flat; aged for 18–24 months in oak. Notes like cherry pie with additional satsuma plum and blackberry fruits are cut with spice, dark chocolate, purple flowers, chocolate bullets and Barossa earth. Plenty of fruit depth, but there is a lovely freshness to its form with fine tannin, bright acidity and a long, fruit-pure finish. 95pts.”

The original Schild family homestead is located on the historic Narrow Road in Rowland Flat, this vineyard sits at 380 metres above sea level. Vineyards at this altitude are traditionally much lower yielding and produce fruit of the highest quality.
